Metallica has confirmed that the new album Death Magnetic will be released on September 12th 2008. According to James Hetfield the concept of the album is death. It is a tribute to the dead rock’n'roll martyrs like Layne Stanley of Alice in Chains. According to James some people are attracted to death, which is like a magnet, while others are afraid of it. We are all going to die but some people talk more about it than others. James also confirmed that there will be an instrumental song on Death Magnetic.
